Understanding Client NeedsDuring the video call, both engineering and product teams from both sides engaged in detailed discussions. The client emphasized their need for a custom ergonomic chair that would support long hours of seated work while offering adjustable features such as a 3D armrest, synchronized tilting mechanism, and high-density molded foam. Additionally, they expressed interest in optionslike high back office chairs for executive settings and conference chairs for meeting rooms.
At IVYCO, we understand that every market has its own unique set of expectations. That’s why ourproduct development process is rooted in deep customization. Whether it's a matter of shape.material, function, or mold structure-we listen, analyze, and adapt.
Technical Discussions & Mould DesignA significant portion of the video conference focused on the mould-making process. As the clientplans to launch a distinctive line of
custom office chairs, precision and efficiency in tooling areessential. We introduced our mould engineering workflow, from 3D modeling and prototyping toinjection tooling and final part testing. Our team presented technical drawings, past case studies, and mold optimization strategies, helping the client gain full confidence in our capabilities.
By leveraging our 15+ years of experience in office sitting chairs production, we were able toanswer the client’s technical questions with clarity- including materials selection, expected leadtime, cost control, and potential for future scalability.
Moving Forward with Shared Vision
What made the meeting truly successful was the alignment in vision. Both sides share acommitment to delivering long-lasting, user-centered seating solutions. The client was particularlyimpressed with our ability to integrate ergonomic science into design- a must for today's health-conscious workforce.
Our next steps include refining the design of the custom ergonomic office chair, confirmingspecifications for the mould structure, and beginning tooling after formal approval. We’ve alsoagreed on a joint testing phase before mass production to ensure the first batch meets the client’sexpectations in both performance and finish.
